I will speak for everyone that uses and loves this website.

Don't think "Oh, this is only a matter of time until they all get used to the new website." No. No. No. Because you know you can't force anyone to use this. You have messed up so bad. This was my favorite website, I had it open on a tab almost 24/7 (everytime I was in my laptop, I had it open). I have made great friendships and I only use this since April.

It's sad to leave 10k scrobbles behind (and I can't even imagine how I would feel if I had 100k+ like some people do), but I will 100% leave this if you don't change it back to the previous perfect,  and simply wonderful design.

Thank you.

6 years of service here. I like the new last.fm and I will stay here for as long as I need to until old good features return. I totally like the new Albums feature. And I am tired as hell of the old, outdated, web1.0-as-fvck design. So glad it finally went away. Good luck last.fm team, keep up the good work.

yeah everything is understood about you dude. You care for VISUAL LOOK more than FOR MUSIC. but we care for music and we stayed on site for that. New version is fancy shit for pussy users who use Mobile phones and care about only their 'top 5 Albums'.

11 years and 360,000 scrobbles. Wasted now.

This site is so messed up it's beyond belief. How did they manage to mess up on such a grand scale?

Almost 10 years (in a couple of weeks) almost 250,000 scrobbles here. What a great decade anniversary present this is, the site being almost completely ruined :( They've taken away all the things that made last.fm so great and have made it generic...

@ Viivi Koskela - it doesn't even need a user ID to be inserted......... just your partial link does it.

Which would be great, if Last.FM's staff cared one iota about our feedback. They don't. If they did, they would have reversed gear during the Beta feedback stages. They didn't. They just ignored us,

Hello LastFM team ... Why is the new LastFM not started until it is completely finished, or why does not an alternative for the old page / the old profiles in the network? I find that it is not good to offer such an incomplete page even as needs. Please provide only the offer finished, and give us back for so long our previous LastFM profile. This beta version is not a good advertisement for LastFM but looks more like rush - wanted more than clever - not mature ... a shame that you provide no alternative to this page on the net. Let users even decide which LastFM want to use it until you have completed the new version!

Been here for over six years and 95,442 scrobbles. I'll probably just unistall anything lastfm related and not come back on here. The new design is just awful. I can't find one positive aspect to it. People say that "no one likes change" and "give it time, they've done it to facebook/youtube" etc.

At least when these sites were changed and you initially didn't like it, you could still see a few positive aspects to the design, where as with this one, I honestly can't. It's going to be this decades myspace. In 5 years time, lastfm will be an urban legend just like myspace, and will be laughed about by younger generations. "do you remember when mum and dad used to listen to cassette tapes, and use lastfm".

I bet everyone from Last.Fm is on hollyday. They have left the building days ago.
Always when there was something wrong with scrobbling in the weekend we had to wait for mondays when it was solved.
Nothing has changed. Even with something as big as this.
It makes me depressive.
They killed Last.FM.

member since 2009. ..had 6000+ artists.. 200 000 + scrobbles.. and never seen more stupid and unorganized and unfunctional change.
Due to all love and respect for LAST.FM during all those years, I must say goodbye if they don't switch old version again.
I Always recommended to my friends and others Last.Fm, and they were always surprised and pleased with the site and features, because it was perfect place for storing our music, for presenting our taste, for finding new music and sharing with others.
Now it became an ugly fancy pussy garabage with 'TOP 5 Albums' main theme on profile page..
My friends agree with me and among them many already left last.fm, and others who saw the new version just were like 'WTF?!, from such an well organized site it became such an plain shit..''.
No one who cares for music will come to Last.fm anymore since this site won't have use if new version launches as default.
Seriously for an serious music listener this site became just a shit.

I know right? Everytime someone asked me what kind of music I listen to, I'd always send them my Last.fm profile and they liked the website end eventually create one for themselves. Now I just feel ashamed of showing them "this".

CBS is shit and since Last.fm was taken by them it just WENT WORSE! Especially in terms of Indie and new artists from OTHER COUNTRIES and CONTINENTS (Like Asia, Africa!). This is becoming mainstream shit. And I don't know which users beside pussies who know only 5-10 well known artists would use this site if it continues looking and changing like this?!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last.fm <--- Look what I found! A reason why this site has went down!

On 30 May 2007, it was acquired by CBS Interactive for UK£140 million (US$280 million). It claimed 30 million active users in March 2009, By April 2011, Last.fm had reported more than 50 billion scrobbles.

Again a major multinational with more money than sense overpays for a Social Media site and really has no clue what to do with it. Bebo, MySpace etc are other examples.

Why does this thread say acknowledged? What have they acknowledged? Why aren't they telling us? We're being left in the dark yet again.

I know. It makes absolutely no sense. There are threads that are literally acknowledged (meaning a staff member has left feedback and answered a question) and the thread doesn't say acknowledged!

Here's another complaint: Spanish translation has several misspelling. "Hacen" is wrong when the concept is about time; there is no subject, so the correct is "Hace". You're welcome @lastfm.

=_= Not only the administration sucks, they are not even capable of doing a proper translation. Wow. Good job last.fm admins. What did you use to translate your website, Google translator? Wouldn't surprise me if you did it.

10 years and about 200k scrobbles over 2 accounts and this is how we are repaid? If you really want to hit their bottom line, cancel your paid subscription and use Adblock.

Save your scrobbles, just for backup in case this mess is never fixed. Some of the new design is good (like the top album feature) but the site is nowhere near finished, if all the old features were reinstated (about me and by that I mean the proper version, with all the milestone stats and images from external sources available, ability to delete/ adjust scrobbles - for that matter ability to scrobble, everything has just been caching over the last 2 days - ability to adjust the amount of top artists/ tracks shown,  the ability to see how much friends have listened to certain artists from the artist page, lastlabs, taste o meter, ability to upload photos for albums and profile pictures and probably a lot more I haven't mentioned) THEN I could start to get used to the design, otherwise I'll have a hard time. I've got around 80k scrobbles so I'm too invested to just give up on Last.FM quite yet but this is testing my patience.

Not 100% sure, it's not my site, I just know it worked for me. Any more details on the error? It sounds obvious I know but make sure you haven't put a typo in your username. Mine opened with Microsoft Excel, if you don't have that or something else that runs 'csv' it's still worth saving because the data will be there for whenever you can access a compatible program.

sorry there won't be milions users. People from other countries as mine from faraway East Europe or Asia or other countries registered users which gave actually majority to last.fm, won't find this new version any promissing to please their needs for music, especially for big oversized not custmozied layout for Touch Screen devices, and most of us use DESKTOP PC.
nor for services they started to promote or suppor, since those services don't accept our countries.
So I hardly bet they'll get only from USA or UK and neighbour countries a milion new users..

LastFm was cool, I used it to track the music I listened to so that I could always tell which bands I lsitened to the most and when. I like what the redesign has done with that.

However everything else in the redesign is glossy and superficial. What happened to bio's? I used it to list every band I had gone to see> poof. Gone.

In many ways I was lucky, LastFm was too good to last. Now in my eyes it's gone.

I have more than 300000 scrobbles, but won't be using this crap new site, all the best feat have been removed, just looks like some mixcloud or something. I will start afresh whenever some new website comes up with a decent alternative, or lastfm goes back to the previous design. Otherwise, well, i will go back to listening to music the old fashioned way, without keeping record of it.

Yep, i still have portable cd players and an mp3 player. Don't need last.fm for that. It was nice being able to record my listening habits and finding new music but this new format has less stats and i don't even know where similar artists are now.

If they can't restore the about me, then i'm gone. That was the best part of last.fm being able to customize your profile and put stats up that the site itself doesn't offer. They released this incomplete new version and they think it'll help the site out but when majority of the people who dedicated their time to scrobble or frequent on this site will be leaving they'll eventually realize they had made a mistake.

Last.fm is a dinosaur now.

Yes. And i used to log in every day, just to have a look at my top 100 artist, to see who was up or down compared to the day before, even though nothing had changed. Then go and check other friend's top 100 artists. It was a bit like browsing sections of record stores and finding some unknown gem or an artist never heard of. Why? Because i'm a music nerd, and that's what i like to do. Now there's 5 huge pictures of 5 top artist which tell me absolutely nothing. Oh well, all good things come to an end right? I guess i'll have more time to dedicate to other things.

You are so right. It seems that my fun 10 years with last.fm are nearly coming to an end. I can safely say that last.fm WAS my favourite site during the last 10 years. It ́s sad it won ́t be there as it used to before..

After I was using last.fm for several years (and I loved it back then!), I quit one year ago due to several reason. Two weeks ago, I have registered again and was happy to be back, everything was as good as it was several years ago. Until this week, when they launched their new site. I'm a paying subscriber, but I still see ads everywhere, 80% of the previous features are gone ("not ready") and no one - absolutely no one - seems to like the new site. The community here is/was the reason why I have spent so many hours here, but these times seem to change, since many are leaving.

I personally have no problem with a new layout, I understand that some people felt the "old" design a little bit outdated. But what I absolutely don't understand is the decision to go live with the new site now. Why did they relaunch the site with so many missing features? Why don't they just test the beta site with a couple of users and go live when everything is ready?

The new site feels like you have no control over your data anymore. I want to see stats. When I go to...

www.last.fm/de/user/ManDirky/library/explore/2015

...I can't even see the numbers of scrobbles. I want that back!

And what the hell is that "following" and "followers" tab? What's the difference? And what are my friends listen to? I can't see that anymore.

The library-design sucks.

Last.fm, you made that new design for the smartphone-users, right? For the ones with a tablet, right? But guess what: NOBODY USES LASTFM ON A FCKN SMARTPHONE!

And the profile pages just look like the artist pages now!

I'm on lastfm since 2008.

I was so annoyed on Monday, thought the changes might grow on me after a few days, but sadly they haven't. I miss the old Last.fm :(
