Unofficial covers on many albums!

There is a misuse in the voting system, putting over unofficial covers of several albums, an example is the discography of Demi Lovato, although I also saw it with other artists like Ariana Grande and others. I think it should be controlled as it affects the libraries of other users.

Here's and example:

The first 3 albums have an unofficial cover. there are even deluxe covers in
the standard albums when there's albums with the tag (deluxe).

They are fakes from a user named redacted by moderator. He has already been reported but the team does nothing.

Another examples:

Here the users complains about the fakes he created (with his own making fun of it).

It is frustrating to see that there is a troll tweaking the site and nobody does anything.

As I told you before and now you've been told by a mod, you can't be trusted because you mix up valid uploads with fakes. Nobody is going to put down the effort to check each of your suggestions if they are truly fake or if it's you who made a mistake.

To give you an example, Jardel: Voicenotes has two covers up, one for the CD and for the digital edition. You're calling one of these fake art but they are both official artworks and are both absolutely fine to have uploaded. You can, indeed, verify this via Wikipedia, where the page for that album shows both artworks.

Moderators are not going to cross reference entire lists of art that might not be acceptable to you if they blatantly include official artwork. Indeed, it is the extent of incorrect reports that is one reason we don't have, for example, threads for reporting these or a feature for reporting incorrect artwork - it would simply be misused too much.

Jardel, actually the https://www.last.fm/pt/music/Ariana+Grande/Thank+U,+Next/+images/7eabb08c20a3863b0fd6c86cf3b772ae is the official physical disc version cover (CD is black, Digital Version is pink) so I see no issues with that upload...

You're better off looking at www.discogs.com. You'd be surprised at just how many different editions of an album there can be, not to mention different version of the cover art.

We do handle these when we're aware of them.

However, at least one of the artworks mentioned is for an alternate edition, specifically the CD version. Reports that don't do their research beforehand, and just don't look like what you're used to, are of no help to anyone and make it harder to handle legitimate "fake art" uploads. Different editions are eligible for upload (and do not need to be limited to a different album page, and this does on current policy include something like a Target edition artwork, so those can all go under the main title too, which I acknowledge not all users agree with, but is nonetheless permissable).

It's not a high priority. There are more important things.

I think that the system of voting covers is failing, for example, if 70 people vote for the standard cover and 30 for the deluxe, comes someone with fake accounts giving 100 votes to the deluxe cover and it's not fair because it is not working as it has to be, and that is what is happening with many albums, and worse, with fake covers...

Standard Edition should _always_ be the default cover selected. There is no discussion about that, if you ask me. I don't care if "the deluxe edition cover looks better"... Standard/Regular Edition should always be primary cover!

I think the same as you. I think so because of the fact that both the standard and deluxe versions are included in the artist's page. An example is the 7/27 album by Fifth Harmony, both 7/27 and 7/27 (Deluxe) are on her page, the two versions have different covers but in last.fm the people put the same in both.
