If a release is available on Spotify, how long does it take for the play buttons beside the track names to appear?

At the moment we're dependant on Spotify sending us an updated version of their catalogue so we can map their playlinks to ours, so that's why there may be some tracks on Spotify that aren't marked as playable on Last.fm (especially new releases).  We're considering alternative ways of getting that data so we can make new releases playable, such as letting users suggest a spotify link for a track (as we do with youtube).

That sounds like a good idea.
A more automatic solution would to check when a user is scrobbling from Spotify. Then the track should be available on Spotify. Well, unless the user is playing a local track using the Spotify player.

Hey Jon! This is something that's fixed or in progress somehow? It's been a while since the last response.

That would be a good idea letting users update your database. Right now most of the stuff I scrobble from spotify are not linked in last.fm although they were released long time ago (like, from 1 to even 5 years ago, or maybe even more)
