When will the Administration plan to launch a new database that won't be so troublesome for us?

Two years ago, Jon said the Administration was planning to launch a new database that will work better. Lately, the list of songs has begun to disappear by itself; some newer types of tagging come out spontaneously creating chaos in our library. Just two days ago, I noticed that the compilation Elton John - Love songs have a new list of songs that have nothing to do with the compilation that Elton John released 21 years ago. https://www.last.fm/music/Elton+John/... Original: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_So... Then the album Elton John - Goodbye yellow brick road lost several songs. The original edition I have is 90 minutes long not 76 minutes. When will the Administration launch a new database system? This problem lasts too long.

This is precisely what our data team are working on, Patrick.  For more information, please see my response here.

I can mark this album as something to look into, however according to that wikipedia article you linked, it seems that there's a completely different track list for the European and North American release.

Thanks Jon for the good info. Godspeed! I can't wait to see the ability to revise the incorrect tags and capitalization by ourselves one day.

The tracklist for this release differs across MusicBrainz, Discogs and Wikipedia. So which is the correct one? According to the Wikipedia page, there are two versions with different release dates.

It looks like the tracklist on Last.fm came from MusicBrainz. If you're sure that this is incorrect then you could edit it yourself and probably see it change on Last.fm in a few days.

The catalogue is doing a great job at getting music releases on the database. It's just rough around the edges at the moment and it'll never be perfect. With everything on Last.fm, community contribution goes a long way to improving things. If I see a missing release I'll usually spend 2 minutes adding it to MusicBrainz so it appears on the site within the next few days.

The tracklist for a compilation Elton John - Love songs has 16 tracks. It seems to be the only album that has the correct list of songs. So says my CD, now which the list of songs is right on the Internet, who will know it. I believe that the European edition I have right. And that the Last.FM database system should stick to it.
