Why can't I suggest corrections anymore?

Before I could make suggestions to what the correct spelling of song and albums names should be. Now I can only say 'yes' or 'no' to whether the name is correct or not. Am I missing something here? It is particularly annoying since I've started using Spotify and sometimes there's just to much information on the name of the tracks / albums (e.g.: '2011 remastered version', '(US edition)')  and I can't really change it there like I can on iTunes, for example.

It's because the corrections dataset is static right now -- i.e.  we can't add new corrections or remove existing ones.  When this functionality is restored (next year), I expect we'll either bring back the "suggest a correction" interface, or let people directly edit their own scrobbles in their libraries -- it kind of depends on what's technically possible and how much time it'll take to build.  Sorry for any inconvenience caused in the meantime.

I really hope for the latter option, directly editing our scrobbles, because the old suggesting a correction method was worthless if you were the only person or one of the few suggesting corrections.  I don't recall any of my suggestions ever being corrected...and those were all years ago.

It took me a while to notice this was answered. I too hope the latter becomes the chosen solution, specially because the is no agreement sometimes on what the correct spelling or amount of information the song title should contain. Anyway, thanks for the reply! Looking forward to the changes.

If we are going down the "edit scrobbles" route, can I suggest that we have user specific corrections in addition or instead. I don't want to have to continually go back to my library to fix Spotify's typos.

Another vote for editing our scrobbles (including capitalisation), but our own corrections should be saved from the first time we do it so that they correct automatically from then on. This'd be ideal for those of us listening to more obscure bands where there'll never be the necessary votes for the system to correct it.

Being able to edit would be great because then the correct timestamps can be preserved rather than using the only current option of deleting the track/album/artist from your library and resubmitting the scrobbles.

+1 For having an option to fix incorrect scrobbles and charts in our library. I hope they will implement soon. I have hundreds of tracks of a popular Country musician Kenny Rogers that needs a mass set of corrections. The same applies to the catalog too, many albums on his LFM catalog are missing.
