Why was the dimensions of avatars reduced from 180 x 180 to 170 x 170?

Someone please explain the logic behind this absurd decision, weren't they small enough to begin with or...?

I doubt there will be a solid reason. Chances are the designer just made them that size on the mockups, and the devs followed the design.

I really don't see the point of this little circle avatars...in 100% cases, this circle eats 20% of my photo and i can't find a way to fit properly...bring back the standard avatars, like on twitter, facebook, forums..
