Will we ever be able to remove tracks with an "unknown date"?

Play counts imported by a user from a source like their iTunes library cause a problem where they get bulk assigned to scrobbles with an "unknown date", which are impossible to delete. This is a known issue and an issue ever since the new version of Last FM rolled out over a year ago.

There was an official response in a thread acknowledging the issue several months ago, but it basically just said "Welp, you can't do that, soz".

I want to ask the Last FM staff directly: have you actually got any intention of bringing this functionality back and if so, when?

On a related note, will we also be able to delete artists, tracks, and albums from our libraries? Currently, we can only do this by deleting every single individual scrobble which is both tedious and not exactly user-friendly. Furthermore, if you come across a scrobble with an "unknown date" while trying to do this, you're stuffed! See why I bring this subsidiary point up?

Any users who would like this question/problem answered please chime in and follow/"me too" the thread, as thread activity/popularity is apparently a deciding factor the staff use to decide what issues need addressing.

I wait with baited breath!

It's a good job I didn't hold my breath after I posted this question as I'd be dead now.

Any chance of a response from any official Last FM person?

We're at about 16 months (!) since this site went live and by now we really ought to be at the fine-tuning stage.

This is highly irritating. I have no idea why they're ducking the issue, I've been waiting for this feature since last August. I asked a question about it a long, long time ago and I've still to this day had no official response at all

Yes. I figured the scrobbles with unknown dates in my profile were the ones I've imported from my iTunes via the scrobbler when I created my account. They need to at least let us delete those scrobbles, if the dates were completely lost.
