Would LastFm accept free support / development from us, the users and fanbase?

Hello everybody. Simple question.
Would be able LastFm to accept some web development support from its users / fan base?

For example, I mention as an example The Username change feature that probably won't see any space for 2018 in the Lastfm backlog.

I've to say that, being a developer, I wouldn't mind to support -maybe with the help of some other people that attend this forum- LastFm official development department.
But would be this possible?

Hi, it's a generous and well intentioned offer, but I'm afraid this would be impossible in practise.

Though some of our older stuff is open sourced on github, overall the website is not set up to support collaborations from external volunteer developers.  To change anything on the site not only would you need a complete understanding of our backend architecture, you'd also need external access to our codebase, version control systems, bug tracking, and most of our core database systems and user data, as well as access to CBSi's customer database -- all of which would pose significant security risks and violations to our user's privacy (which with GDPR coming into effect later this month, would not be allowed by our legal team).

We appreciate the offer though, and I believe we are currently hiring for a full time web developer at the moment if that's of interest to you.

ahahah, I tried I think three or four times in the past to apply as a web developer, but as a remote worker. but lastfm wants developers in London... it will never work...

but I understand the impossibility of doing it.
pity :)
