Levi 501 - bad quality product, bad quality service

Bought a pair of 501's via the online store around 1 year ago. They developed worn patches in the crotch area. They've not been worn every day, maybe once a week at most. I noticed the worn patches at the beginning of December 2009 and am still trying to reach a resolution at the end of January 2010.

I cannot return them to a local store as they are not stocked in store due to the size (36 inside leg), so I was told to call "consumer relations" by the store in Milton Keynes. CR told me I need to contact "Germany" where online purchases are handled.

I called Germany, they said I need to send the jeans back to them for "evaluation", but that this would be easy as they would send me a UPS label and all I'd need to do is call them and arrange for a collection.

At my cost it would appear? I attempted to arrange the collection, but I'd been sent an "invalid" label, so contacted Germany again and am still awaiting my label 2 weeks later almost.

I've had far less trouble with jeans at half the price of Levis. I think this will be the last time I buy a pair.

I am sincerely sorry to hear about your experience with our company and our products. While I do understand what happened here as European products are managed by an entirely different group of people almost as a different business leaving the domestic team here in the US has little control over how the European product returns are managed, as a customer that's not really your problem.
