Change in reply by MrQblets to UPDATE: It would seem that the folks at Cham-Lift have adapted to even the speaker-lead clipping option previously suggested by Raudman, because I've just been punched in the face with the reality of the speaker on my newly received LiftMaster 821LM unit being soldered/integrated directly onto the circuitboard . This means that it's either breakout ye old soldering iron and completely remove the speaker, or just deal with the damn thing! NOT happy! .....

-----------------------------------------
Fair enough. Whatever it takes to shut the damn thing up. Tks Raudman!.

Change in reply by shaggy68 to
Installed my Q today. Second thing I did is removed annoying buzzer ( thanks Brandon ). The UL requirement is for SAFETY ???. The word safety is used because the world has no common sense nowadays and it makes it acceptable to make ridiculous rules and regulations. I call B S. Make it buyers choice, this annoyance should be known to buyer either on box, on instructions or at least on the install video on liftmaster site.

Shaun D
.

    Anthony Zaffiro
Change in reply by Anthony Zaffiro to I just installed my opener yesterday. I will be disabling the alarm today as well. It is superfluous and annoying. I have kids and they are smart enough to know that when they see the garage door moving it is coming down (or going up). They also know that they can press the button to stop it..
