I’m pissed

Blinking green light gateway won't connect, R7000 Router. Problem started 2 weeks ago. Replaced gateway, same issue,

Gateway won' t connect.  Has anything changed at MYQ end?  In the last 2 weeks, new EA, etc. I have a 8550.  I deleted account, added account, reset modem, changed and checked LAN settings for traffic, bought a new gateway.  Any other suggestions?

  • Hello Mike, We have moved some customers over to our new server recently, and you may see a blinking green LED on your gateway.

When this happens, MyQ devices will not respond and you may receive error messages saying "308 Device not responding" or "309 Gateway offline". We want to make sure that you have the correct ports open to connect to the server.

    To resolve the issue

    1. Power cycle gateway to see if green LED light goes solid.
    2. Verify UDP and TCP port 2165 and TCP port 8883 allows inbound and outbound traffic. If unsure how to check this, you will need to contact the router manufacturer.

Note: If still flashing green, determine if something at your location is the cause: Has the ISP changed, router changed, router settings changed, another device recently added to home network (webcam, etc.)?

If the green LED continues to flash after the above troubleshooting, please email me at MyQCommunity@Chamberlain.com.

  • All of the above...I subbed a Linksys and Aus Router today, ports are wide open inbound and outbound. I even purchased a new gateway same issue. Anyone in Viginia having issues or better yet Hughsnet Or Satelite internet.
