I have AT & T U-verse internet with their supplied modem/router. I tried getting my 828LM connected last night and could not do it.
I was on the phone back and forth for several hours with LiftMaster and AT & T technical support. First I needed the TCP and UDP port numbers. I got those and gave them to the AT & T guy. He opened the ports from his end but we still could not get the light to stop blinking green. Sometimes he said he could "see" the gateway and sometimes it said "device unknown".
I tried several different ways of connecting the device as well. We tried a direct hardwire from the 828LM to the back of the AT & T router. Then I tried running it through a network switch and that didn't work. Then, I had a Cisco router laying around and so we tried to use that and that didn't work either.
Is it possible that the gateway is bad? AT & T is sending me their latest Motorola modem and I am going to try everything again once I get that tomorrow.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
