hdflsts2002Change in reply by hdflsts2002 to It is wired directly to your router. Not sure but I think that the bridge will do the same thing as the gateway only wirelessly. Your milage may vary, but like I said my gateway is probably a good 30 feet away from the two furthest doors maybe a bit more and it's sigmal has to pass through two walls one of the house and one of the detached garage to reach those two and has no issues at all. I originally thought that the range might be an issue and was prepared to extend the antenna of the openers but I didn't have to do that, although I still might as the remotes in the cars don't seem to have the greatest range.<br /><br />I like the idea of the gateway over the bridge in that there is one less wireless device, no chance of interference, and the gateway stays in the house away from weather and huge temp swings (the detached isn't heated).
