Door can only be opened intermittently on Android App when the "Required Passcode Entry When Opening Doors or Gates" is enabaled.

This is a weird one: My Internet Gateway status lights are all solid.  I have a 888LM door control with a 41AB050-2 opener.  Door would also be opened from the website so there's no problem there.  However, on the Android App (latest version), I can only open the door occasionally if the "required Passcode Entry When Opening Door or Gates" is enabled.  If I disable that option, the door opens consistently.  When the option is enabled, upon typing in the PIN, about 50% of the time the door would not do anything, and status is stuck in "Closed".  Then an hour or so later, it would work.  Again if I disable that PIN option the door would open/close consistently just fine.  Is this an App bug?  That is really odd and I'm wondering if anyone else if having the same issue.
