Jeff, a quick question before I get customer support involved. Do you have the MyQ Home Bridge device? This is necessary for HomeKit integration. Lauren

No, I have the Myq Gateway. Are you saying that I need another device? I was never told that.. I would rather have it connected via Alexa
-

Yes, you'll need the MyQ Home Bridge for HomeKit integration. LiftMaster's MyQ technology does not currently support Alexa. Let me know what other questions you have. Lauren

I think it is ridiculous that you require the purchase of 2 gateways in order for your system to work. I will not be buying any more Liftmaster products. I will also give you a poor rating on Amazon.com.

Jeff, given changes in the technical landscape and the need to provide HomeKit support across a broad range of products, new and old, we decided to develop the MyQ Home Bridge. The MyQ system delivers excellent monitoring and control functionality "out of the box." Users can opt for the additional gateway if they want the added features delivered by HomeKit integration, such as Siri voice control of key MyQ functions. You can read about MyQ Home Bridge here: https://goo.gl/2M7wMX. Lauren
