I just replaced my Linksys 10/100 Workgroup Switch with a Linksys SE3008 Gigabit Switch and the MyQ Gateway is now unable to connect to the internet. I have verified the switch is working, providing at least 100Mb/s download and 450Mb/s upload (!) speeds using the same ethernet cable and port I use for the Gateway. Additionally, when plugged directly into one of the precious few router ports, it works.
Any others see this behavior? Any advice?

Just to follow-up, I replaced the Gigabit switch with my old 10/100 switch, same cable and the gateway connected just fine. So, the gateway seems to be incompatible with the Linksys gigabit switch.

PHIL GO July 03, 2017 04:14I have multiple switches in my home network. In my case, it works primarily on older (>5 years?) 10/100 switches.EditDeleteRemove

Clint Meyersick July 04, 2017 05:54I thought I had an old 10/100 switch around, but I cannot find it. I have 5 or six different gigabit switches and non of them the MyQ gate way seems to work with when sharing the switch with other gigabit devices. To add to the problem I have 3 OpenMesh WAPs that seem to work best directly off the router which left me only one other open port that went to my main switch. I seem to have it working with the MyQ plugged directly into the router slot #1. My main gigabit switch feeding 4 other gigabit switches in Office, Home Theator, Den, and Workout room in slot #2. Slot #3 on the router is a 6th gigabit switch feeding my 3 OpenMesh WAPs. Seems really dumb that this thing just will not behave behind a switch. I initially thought putting it on the switch close to the garage would be the best bet.EditDeleteRemove

Same problem here as well. I had to connect my old switch to my new gigabit switch and myq now works again.

Using Linksys SE3008 switch as well and will not get the green LED. When I connect to one of the MeshNetwork wi-fi boxes before the switch it works. Any settings to check on the switch?

Most switches are unmanaged unlike routers. I ended up just plugging the MyQ directly into the router and running everything else off the switches and that cleared up all my network trouble. Never really found a solution.
