My Gateway always alerts me on open and close as configured. But when I attempt to open it remotely with the app (Android) it doesn't respond. If it's opened and I get an alert, I am able to close it from the app. I'm hardwired with a static IP. Any Ideas. It was rock-solid stable/reliable for months, but a several months ago (possibly before the last firmware update????) this started happening.

What is the make and model of the router the Internet Gateway is connected to? Also, can you provide the model of the opener you are using with the Internet Gateway?

Router/Firewall is a Sonicwall NSA 240. 8550 Opener. I ran some more tests....I opened it from the remote and it alerted perfectly. Seconds later I tried to close it with the app and it failed.

Check the UDP timeout settings for your Sonicwall. The Internet Gateway requires a minimum of 60 seconds for the UDP timeout settings. We recommend 120 seconds. This should resolve any connection issues with your Internet Gateway and our servers. Let us know if this helps!

I reset for 90 seconds (up from 30) and will run some tests tomorrow. If still dicey, I'll bump up to 120, Will update after testing is complete.

Ok, so back to this again.. I thought 90 had it working...nope. I tried 120....and for the last while it's been 180.... still not consistently working... got any other ideas? Maybe a port forward? Firewall rule to allow traffic from your servers? Extra bummer because I'm trying to beta your new mobile app and it's failing to connect. (was failing to work before the beta)

Mobile App beta, but I have the same intermittent issue with a web browser on a wired connection in the house. It's been going on much longer than the beta.
