Internet Gateway Device
Can our registered Internet Gateway device from our previous home work at our new home? Registration will not let me register device at our new home because it says its already registered elsewhere. Need some help and step by step instructions. Our new garage door is Lift Master and is brand new model. It's really frustrating there isn't a number listed to call someone for help. Thanks, Jonathan

Just did this last night. You need to connect to the device itself via wiFi before trying to add it via the app. you should see it listed at MyQ-C18 or something similar in your available networks. if you don't see it listed, hold down the settings button on the MyQ hub for 10 seconds or until it beeps then try finding and connecting to it. Once you are connected it should bring up a web page with instructions to connect it to your WiFi network. NOTE: if the webpage doesn't load up, go to this "site": setup.myqdevice.com . Once you do that, it will be removed from the other persons account and you will be able to set it up via the app (aka type in the serial number step).

You need to "factory reset" the 828LM Internet Gateway. Then add the gateway's MyQ serial number to your MyQ account.
Internet Gateway Factory Reset:
- Remove gateway power.
- Press and hold pressed the small button on the gateway (pin hole on side, use toothpick or paperclip; press button in and hold pressed).
- While button is pressed, connect power to the Internet Gateway.
- Wait a few seconds, the LEDs on the gateway will first blink for power up, then wait about 6 - 10 seconds for the yellow or blue LED to blink. Gateway will not be "reset."
- Now add the Internet Gateway's MyQ Serial Number to your MyQ account.
If this doesn't solve the issue, contact LiftMaster technical support via email or telephone call. -
