Liftmaster CSL24VDC issue
I have this gate opener that has been working fine until I tried to program two
new keypads. I was unsuccessful in programing the keypads, and I ended up
clearing out all my remotes, but that is not a big deal; I can re-do that.
however, not sure what happened but the gate was no longer opening or closing
using the test buttons. the power is on; lights are on, but can't get it to open
or close. so I decided to clear the limits and just start over, so that is where
im totally stuck. I have the set open and set close light blinking but when I
press the move gate buttons up or down, nothing happens. I have power cycled the
entire unit, but still the same results. there is a blinking "timer" light on
the circuit board. I called liftmaster support and they said the timer light
should not be blinking and there is either an issue with the board or motor but
would not help me any further since Im not an authorized dealer. can anyone shed
some light on what I can do to get this back working? I have attached a pic if
that helps. a huge thanks in advance for any help I can get. quick ***update to my original post: the
flashing timer light, I figured out, would go off when I turned the "timer to
close" knob to "off". but even with that light off, I'm still unable to get past
the blinking "set open" "set close" close lights..nothing happens when I press
the "move gate" buttons up or down. two more notes...on the upper right side of
the circuit board, the "stop" light is on steady. when this opener was
installed, although it has its own built in remote receiver, I had another
remote receiver I wanted to hook up to this so I could use the old wireless
keypad. I had someone connect it, but it never worked that well, it would only
sporadically open the gate, so I decided to disconnect it. don't know if this
has anything to do with my current issue but wanted to throw that out there.

Dee,
I wish that I had more information for you on this issue. My suggestion would be to contact the LiftMaster dealer that installed the gate for assistance. I have included a link to our authorized dealers if you don't have the dealer's information.

as a "specialist" I wish you did too! kinda pathetic. a random person on a forum figured it right out. it was the factory installed jumper wire that goes from stop to common. it got removed and just needed to be put back in.
