myQ 821m no longer will connect - no bluetooth or wi-fi set up
After working flawlessly for 5 months, 3 days ago my myQ just stopped working - no notifications, no remote access, etc. The Error message is "the gateway or hub is offline. Please check the power and network connections. (309). When I went to troubleshoot, now that unit is no longer "seen" by bluetooth or the wi-fi network automatically or via the manual name. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this unit and will get another but trying to determine if the unit has gone bad or is there a system thing that is happening

I get a similar message 10% of the time when I use the phone app. I can't activate the door in this situation, though the door status does properly update when I open the door with the regular opener. The message from the system is not really correct in my situation. This happens on my system often enough to be really annoying; I can't rely on this as a primary door control solution.

All I really care about is the notification of the garage door opening but I because the unit doesn't see the wi-fi and I can't reset, I have no resolution. Thanks for confirming that it happens to you as well.

Brian,
In order to reset your Wi-Fi settings, you will need a blue flashing LED on the hub for it to show up in the Bluetooth or wireless settings. To get a blue light, unplug your router (as the hub is trying to connect to it), press and hold the settings(gear) button for 8 seconds, up to four times until you get a flashing blue LED.-
Dawn, I did this several times.
Blue light flashes each time. But no connection. At least 7 times.
I also cannot see it via Bluetooth through the app...something is wrong. -

Brian,
Email me at MyQCommunity@LiftMaster.com, so we can check the warranty on the unit. When did you purchase it? -

Hi Dawn and Brian,
I just got this unit about 2 months ago and I loved it.
Then i have the same problem as Brian had.
The thing is this unit only worked flawlessly for 1.5 month.
It stopped sending me notification when the door is opened / closed.
I can't open the garage door with myQ app neither.
I tried to search for solutions online and I found this article, somehow my unit has a built-in Wifi which I have no router to reset. I tried to unplug my unit as well as the backup battery then plug it again. It worked for one day. After I went to work in the morning, it sent me a notification saying the door is opened. Then after I finished from work after 8 hours, I still didn't get any notification saying the door is closed. I went home and tried myQ app again then it shows the error code 309 as well.
Dawn, can you also help me to solve this problem? -

I have the unit for 2 months too and having the same issue, it just disconnects from the hub every second day. I am very much annoyed with this product.

I found I had to disconnect the power plus disconnect the battery backup for thirty minutes. Connected the battery power first than the 120 vac. I was able re-program the wifi, remotes and door setting again.

I have began having the same issue. I've owned it probably a year or so...worked great until just lately and the 'hub' issue developed. Come on MyQ Liftmaster...find a reliable solution please!
