MyQ Control Panel stopped Working
MyQ control panel Model 888LM stopped working. It was installed 2 years ago with a new Liftmaster 8500. The voltage is fine, crossing the wires causes the lock to close and overhead light turn on, but does not open the door. The LED lights are off on the control panel. The overhead light, safety sensors, and back-up battery are active and on. The surge protector plug is on for the 8500 unit. All remotes, keyless wireless, vehicle home link, wall panel do not work. No internet gateway installed. Do I need to replace the control panel or request a service call for troubleshooting? Thanks for any assistance.

Hello ruger2, I apologize that your 8500 model is not operating for you. From what you are describing, I believe more troubleshooting is needed. If you would like, I can have a technical support representative call you at your convenience so we can help correct your issue. Please email me your contact information to MyQCommunity@LiftMaster.com.

Was this matter ever resolved for rugar2? I am having the same exact issue as of this morning. I have 3 garage doors and one of the IQ wall controls is not responding and the LED is not lit, but the garage door unit is on.

I have an issue similar to Rugar2.
The 888LM wall unit has gone dark after a short power outage last night and will not open or close the door.
The power unit on the door flashes a yellow led 3 times and then pauses.
The trouble shooting chart suggests disconnecting the wires at the wall controller and shorting them together.
This does cause the door to open and close normally, however the remotes still don't work (the 888LM may be some of the required intelligence for that to happen).
The trouble shooting chart states the 888LM is bad and should be replaced but before I spend $30+ for a replacement, I would like to know if that is likely to be the only problem.
Here are some additional data: Voltage at wires to the 888LM.
Open circuit: 32VDC
350 ohm load : 10.2VDC
175 ohm load: 6.4 VDC -
