MyQ Server not responding
on my iPhone app (iOS 11.1 - iPhone X) I get the error message - Server Error. MyQ Server not responding. Please try again later. And cannot access the garage door to open or close. But if I login to the website, I see the garage door and can control it. The keypad can open and close it. But the app gives me this error message. And my Apple Watch can open and close it also. Yet the watch complication no longer appears or works. Is this an iOS11 problem???

Hi Gary, I've looked into this, and what you're describing indicates the MyQ app is functioning correctly, but the Apple app(s) is/are not, so we'll need to refer you to Apple. Let me know if you know if other questions. Chuck

It may be an Apple problem but I do not think Apple is going to help me troubleshoot your app. No other app or services are affected on my phone - just yours. Not a helpful reply. The app is working now - let's see what happens when I get home.

It is not Apple. I have to log out of your app and log back in to get the server working again. When I get this error, it will not access your User Guide, your FAQ. I even have trouble logging out. Once I do, I log back in and seem to get the service again. This has happened 2 or 3 times now. I see at least 2 others here with the same problem. Please explain how this is Apple's problem. By the way, your apple watch app is inconsistent and your complication has simply stopped showing up on the watch, even though it is installed. I have uninstalled everything and reinstalled and still have these problems.

I have really resolved the problem by purchasing a LiftMaster MyQ Home Bridge - now everything happens through my system, not LiftMaster. Downside is LiftMaster charges you $69.00 for a device that I believe should have been included with my MyQ garage door opener that was touted as HomeKit compatible (which it is, but ONLY IF you buy the additional bridge)

Ya I am having the same problem and have been for the last couple weeks. Just logged out and back in. Attempted to open my gate which opened but the app told me it was not responding. Also did not receive a text that it opened like it should. This seems like a myq app problem that y’all should be fixing.

I have a liftmaster home bridge hooked up to my network. The HomeKit will work for a couple hours then it looses connection. The ONLY way to reestablish HomeKit connection is to reboot the home bridge. This is unbelievably inconvenient. My myq app works perfectly every time. The Hone app loses connection with my garage door opener and my light switch. I have a qwikset lock that maintains connection without fail with my Home app. What gives??

Got this one too. When I am on my home network WiFi, I get the MyQ Server not responding error. Once I leave the WiFi network and the phone goes to cellular network... no error and I can operate the door normally.
(This is through the iOS App. I don't know about the web gateway. Can somebody please post the address of this so I can test it out?)
Don't have the Home Bridge. Ordered it today. Count me as another person who bought this assuming that it worked with HomeKit out of the box. I thought bridges were so 2015... I guess it's a great chance to grab another $69 from us to add functionality that should have been there in the first place... Sad!
Will wait to see if the Bridge corrects these problems.-

Will do. I will say, despite my initial frustrations, the Chamberlain Tech Support people are on point. I don't think I've ever seen such immediate response to issues. I'm impressed. I think it's important to not just call out disappointing aspects, but also the positive ones as well as nobody really does that in social media forums...

We are getting the message Unable to connect to server please check your connection. Both phones started this at same time tonight. Have already reset our modem and it's working correctly. Both phones are Samsung android OS. App has worked just fine for over a year now until tonight.

My problem has been only since using the iPhone X. With the iPhone 6, you would be logged in automatically with Touch ID so there were never any issues with connectivity. The MyQ app doesn’t support Face ID, so you get logged out automatically and lose connection with the MyQ server as a result. You are forced to log in with Username and Password every time. Are there any plans to add support for Face ID?

Just installed Smart Garage Hub MYQ-G0301. They worked a couple of times and then got the MyQ Server not responding. Using a iphoneX. What is the best path forward.
