I think it would be great if the MyQ app had an optional persistent notification on mobile devices that graphically showed the current state of the garage door(s).
I have apps (such as a weather app) that displays graphics, so this seems to be possible. Even a text notification would suffice, though, such as "Karen's Door: Open ... Mike's Door: Closed".
Currently, I get notifications when a door is opened or closed, but if I want to check the current state, I have to open the app. An ongoing notification would be nice to have.

+1! This idea deserves a lot more attention and votes! I've thought about ways to do this through other services that connect to MyQ (e.g., Wink, and Home Alerts), but the automation around MyQ seems very limited. An open API would go a long way for a product that doesn't see regular feature updates.

I'd like that too, also would like to see 'widgets' on my home screen for each door. I have 5 doors I'd like to see the status of on a widget and be able to click them open/closed right from the home screen. this would cut down on time and increase productivity at my workplace.
