Just getting my new device setup, and extremely disappointed that basic features like API integration with 3rd parties is a for-pay addon. This is a device feature that clearly is already free and available (MyQ app, Alarm.com) that you're restricting my access to.
I don't consider the ability to operate my devices via hardware (RF remotes, physical wired buttons) and software (MyQ app, IFTTT, Google Assistant, Alarm.com) to be a premium feature. I see this no different than charging a subscription fee to have safety sensors or a physical, wired button connected to my unit.
I've noticed a lot of non-employee replies to other posts here, "explaining," why you've done this. Please save your breath on this post, folks. This is a failure for customers & consumers, because there's no excuse to block me from operating my appliances via some software but charging for others.
Really disappointed. I plan to replace my unit in a few years, and this will drive me away from your products and your partners.

Martin, we appreciate your comments and concerns. The MyQ Smart Garage Hub comes with great management and monitoring functionality out of the box. The subscription fees only apply to users who want added functionality from the IFTTT and Google Home integrations. Thanks for your input. Lauren
