I have been having serious issues with my 821LM for the last few weeks. I've only had the unit for a couple months, but it started dropping my wireless connection regularly a week ago (would see green and blue blinking LEDs). Managed to get it back on wifi after changing my Wifi channel (from 6 to 1), but now, the unit is rebooting every 1-8 hours. Contacing email support has been useless (they seemed to think my issue had to do with the app, not the unit itself).
Power is not an issue. The unit is running Firmware 7.5.0 (according to the about.html page), on Hardware 1.0.0. I asked email support for info on what was the latest firmware or hardware, but they were unable (or unwilling) to answer the question (I can't believe this information isn't posted somewhere, and that there's no changelog for firmware versions). Hitting "update firmware" in the iPhone app does nothing. Part of me wonders if the unit is attempting to update its firmware, failing, and rebooting...
When it works, it's great. But when it isn't working, it's pretty annoying. I'm starting to think I've got a faulty unit. I'm a Systems admin by trade, and an electronics hobbyist, and I've pretty much exhausted all my troubleshooting short of taking the unit apart (though I would imagine there's a warranty sticker on it).
Please, please advise. And thank you.

I apologize that you are having a problem with your MyQ Garage. I am going to need some account information from you. Could you please email the email address you registered your MyQ account with. My email is MyQCommunity@LiftMaster.com

done! It's the same account as my getsatisfaction account. I'm actually just scripted up something to log "uptime" on the unit. At this point, I don't think it ever makes it more than 8 hours, and usually is more like an hour or two. Last night I moved the unit to a different power outlet, and it didn't make any difference, sadly. =/

I have this same issue. How do you get to an about.html page to check the firmware? My unit will work great, and then out of no where it will not work at all, until the unit is powered down and back up again.

You have to know the IP address for your 821LM. Once you know that, you can go to http://x.x.x.x/about.html in a web browser.
I would check to see if your wireless router shows the IP addresses for the devices connected. Sorry, no other good solution unless you know how to use nmap. -

Mine WAS working better, but for the last few days, it's been rebooting constantly. Generally never lasting more than an hour. =/

I apologize that its still rebooting constantly, we are having our product quality team contact you to help you further.

Thanks, they did attempt to call. However, this unit is at my home, and I work a normal day shift. So calling isn't entirely useful if they're wanting me to troubleshoot the unit... =/

We still have your email from June that has the best contact times for you, I will forward this info again to our Product Quality Department.
