Solid green light, but online account does not show the gateway as installed
I installed a liftmaster wall switch 888LM yesterday, and this works fine with the garage door opener (as it is wired). Next I added the gateway 828LM to my wifi router, which is 10 feet away, and got a solid green light. When I login to the website account, it does not show the gateway, and is prompting me to add a device. So does this mean it already 'sees' the gateway, or not? If it does alreay see the gateway, then is the next step to link it to the 888LM, or directly to my garage door opener itself via the learn feature? Thanks

I had the same concern you have. You have to register the gateway under your account. If you are doing what I initially did which was to follow the quick start guide, that information is not there. It is only found in the user guide. They need to update that quick start guide. Another thing I noticed about the site is that it was not very clear to me if I had registered the gateway or not. You might need to either log out and log back in or click on the Account link again to reload the information about the gateway. Once you register the gateway, adding the door control is pretty straight forward, and you can do it from the app on your mobile device. I found the installation wizard in the app very good, it shows you exactly what to do.

David - When you click to add a device, it will ask for your gateway serial number, if you have not already added to the account. Once the serial number is added it will ask you what you want to add, you choose garage door opener. It will then ask if you are using a Wi-Fi garage door opener, choose no. Then it will prompt you to press the learn button on the 888LM twice, and then you will be able to name your opener.
Let me know if you have any other questions. -
