Suggestion for MYQ App - Iphone & Android
I installed your MYQ hardware a couple of weeks ago with 2 garage doors. It works well and I am able to monitor and close or open both doors. A couple of suggestions...while I like being able to see if the door is open and have the option to close, I would prefer some sort of notification if the door is open for more than a specified amount of time. For example, if the door were open for more than say 15 minutes, it would send me a notification and give me the option to ignore (in case I have purposely left it open while working around the house) or close the door. The time interval would be variable at 5 minute intervals. Another useful feature would be the ability to notify me that the door was left open if I were to leave the house and drive a mile away. This ability is already built into the iOS maps app as it notifies me how long it will take to get home from the office based on current traffic conditions when the phone connects up to the car. At any rate, I hope to see these added in the future as they would truly add functionality.

Chamberlain - both of these suggestions could be accomplished with IFTTT integration, instead of versioning it into the app.

If I understand your suggestion correctly, I have been using a rule to give notification when the door has been open for more than 'x' minutes. In the matter of fact, I just added more of those rules in case I miss the first one. However, it would be nice if I could set an interval to have it notify me every 'x' minutes instead of creating a bunch of rules. Maybe that is what you are getting at.
