I just purchased a CIGBU from LOWES wich looked open and now I'm getting the follwoing error: That device is on another user's account. Unable to add. (310). How can I get it reset?

Try a hard reset to the gateway: unplug gateway from AC power, press and hold pressed the reset button in the small hole on the side (use toothpick or paper clip), continue to hold reset button and plug in gateway to AC power, wait about 10 to 20 seconds (the LED lights should indicate a reset). Release reset button and try adding to MyQ again.
If still failing, contact LiftMaster support. They can correct it.-

If all else fails, I would just exchange it from Lowe's as it's probably impossible to prove ownership of the device with the manufacturer. Seems like a much simpler approach.
