Pretty simple question. I believe I MAY know the answer but MyQ needs to do a better job of having a single point of documentation on known status values of their software.
Anyway, I have two garage doors (out of four) that are showing 'Reversed' on the MyQ app. They will not respond to open commands from the app. The door just say 'Reversing for xxx seconds' then give up.
I believe the issue COULD BE that the power was turned off, then back on to the openers.
I get that suggestion from this post:
https://myqcommunity.liftmaster.com/liftmastermyq/topics/re-program-after-power-failure
The solution there is that the doors must be manually cycled (opened) before they will be accessible via MyQ. I would hope this is a problem that will be resolved as I live in an area which often times looses power for hours at a time.
Thanks

Hello Brian - I can definitely help you with this issue. What you will need to do is delete your alert for those two openers and then recreate the alert from the app. That will take care of the reversed issue you are seeing on the app.
Answer Title: How to create an alert for the MyQ® Garage (Wi-Fi Hub) or an Internet Gateway

As far as if your power goes off, there will always be a requirement to activate the door from the remote or door control to be able to use the MyQ app again. -

Activating the doors manually cleared the REVERSED status on my phone. I did not need to delete the alert.

I'm glad to hear it. Previously the other steps had to be taken. Thanks for the update.

This happens to my 8500 openers every time there's a power outage. As with Brian's experience, simply cycling the doors using the manual opener button on the wall, or even one of the regular remotes, will fix it.
