What is the point of places?
I just installed two 8550W units in my two garage bays at home. I create a new place called "Home" and add the unit to it. Works great. Go to place, add additional device, asks for name of place. Again I type "Home" and add the second bay door. Now I have two places call "Home" each with one opener. I would have assumed the point of the place is to have multiple pieces of hardware in one physical location, but I can't seem to figure out how to make this work. Same experience using iOS app and the web app. The openers seem to work fine, no issues there, but the interface seems oddly broken.

Mike - You bring up a good question. With the Wi-Fi garage door openers, they each have an internal gateway(place). We have separate places in case someone has multiple gateways at separate houses.
With two Wi-Fi openers in order to add them both to one place you have to have only one of the openers connected to your Wi-Fi network.
Here are the steps you need to take:- Delete the 2nd place, this will clear the place and the garage door opener. How to delete a place
- Clear the Wi-Fi settings on the 2nd opener. How to clear the Wi-Fi settings on a Wi-Fi garage door opener
- Add the 2nd opener to the current place "Home". How to add a device
