When try to add device, Gateway is not a selection

I have an internet gateway that is connected to the Internet (the green light is constant).  I have created an account and a place (Home).  When I click on add new device I do not have a choice of Internet Gateway.  The choices are limited to a) garage door opener b) commercial door opener c) gate operator d) remote light.

I also tried to add a garage door opener and entered the gateway serial number but no devices were added.

Suggestions?

  • Your "place" (Home) is your MyQ gateway that is already associated to your MyQ account.

    When you tap "Add Device to Home" in the app, the MyQ systems wants to pair a MyQ product with the MyQ gateway on your MyQ account.

    If you want to add another MyQ gateway to your MyQ account, select "Add New Place" in the app.

    If you are stilling having issues, send an email to myqcommunity@liftmaster.com.  Provide your MyQ email address and the gateway's MyQ serial number in the email.
