I am trying to buy points and keep receiving the following message: PayPal Server Error: This transaction cannot be processed.. 15005. Processor Decline
My payment for a $10 membership payment went through, but the points payment will not. I tried to upgrade to the $39 points package, but that won't take effect until the January 23. How can I get points?
Can someone help me?
EMPLOYEEI’m thankful0According to PayPal's documentation, a 15005 error means the bank declined the payment. In these cases there isn't much we can do, but we recommend users to talk to their banks to see if anything strange is going on.
However, it looks like you have already got this taken care of by simply trying the same card again :)
Thanks so much for all your help.
I think I tried to use the card too often in too short a period of time. I apologize for posting both here and on the forum, but I was a bit frustrated. I received some credit as a gift for Christmas, and wanted to use it on LingQ immediately.
When the purchase of the points didn't work I upgraded to the $39 account. If I understand this correctly, I will have the $10 account until January 23 and can purchase additional points until January 23. I will have the $39 account with 3000 points from January 23 until February 23. If I don't use all those points before February 23 will they still be available after February 23? I prefer to purchase points on a pay-as-I-go plan so I may switch back to the $10 plan in February.
EMPLOYEE0You can change your membership level as much as you want between billing cycles, but you will only be charged once a month. If you are still at Plus on January 23rd, you will be charged $39 for the Plus membership. These points that you purchase are like any points on the site, and will be valid for 90 days regardless of your membership level. You can stay at Plus until January 23rd, receive the points, then change your level to Basic immediately afterwards, ensuring you will only be charged $10 on February 23rd.
I hope this all makes sense! If you have more questions, let me know.
