API to get 'navigation somewhere' events

Hi,
I would like to have the ability to know whether the user has navigated to a specific area in my synth. Imagine having a synth for an archaeological location. If the user navigates to a specific area (e.g. a statue) I could display more information in my application. Is there an API for that?

Thanks

Hi there, Dimitris,

Here's what I think you're asking for:
http://photosynth.net/api/docs/defaul...

I believe that's what the Stargate Universe promo team used in order to build this: http://stargate.mgm.com/photosynth/in...

Note the changing text and links on the upper left outside the synth as you move to different photos (e.g. the second highlight in the corridor synth).

Thanks Nathanael.
Yeah, I studied the source code of stargate, I suppose what it happens is that we get a reference to the id of the photo currently in focus, and given that we present the information. Right?

If so, how can we know the id of the picture in order to create the array containing the photoID => Information values?

Sadly, I'm not a coder... not even a scripter.

What you're saying sounds correct to me logically, though. I'm thinking that the getSelectedImageId() method is what you'd be wanting to call, detailed in the Microsoft.Photosynth.Viewer class.

Apologies if I'm not understanding what you're asking. If you don't hear back from the Photosynth team here you can reach out to them via email. I left you a few links on the Photosynth forum here.
