Location recognition/integration with other synths

Location recognition/plotting on map -- if I put Strasbourg as the location, and the synth is of the front of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Strasbourg, could the program recognize the location from the structure? This would be really great when you forget where you took a picture -- i.e. if I put the location as "Paris", could the program search for an accurate location based on other synths?

This might be pie-in-the-sky for when computers are much faster.

Another idea would be, in conjuction with the last, to fill in the gaps in your synth with a background from other people's synths that are already uploaded in the same place. Maybe in grey or something.

A realistic and fantastic idea is to get it to try and match together syths that have been set on the map as being close together.

EDIT: I'm hungry. I really want the cake now thats in my picture :¬P

This would be a lot easier if the ground plane was imported from Maps and you could manually align it, then build your synth on top of it.
This would give a great foundation for stitching the synths together without requiring lots of processing power

Do it properly. Needs to be all automatic.

Edit: I guess actually choosing a position on the map is not automatic though.
