mouse zoom offset

I've embedded this on my site http://www.binaryjam.com/2008/11/25/a... when I use the mouse wheel to zoom in the zoom point is not under the mouse cursor but offset for some reason. Now something might be weird about my html, but as this is jsut a simple script embed I think it should cope better with the offset point.

Hope this is useful in making it better.

I've visited your site and I don't see any problem with zoom-to-mouse. It works fine. Are you using IE8B2 and are you viewing it full window mode? There is a known bug in IE8B2 that creates some rendering errors when Seadragon Ajax is in full window mode. This is fixed for an upcoming release of IE8. In the mean time, you may need to use Seadragon Ajax in the windowed mode only or not use the Beta2 release of IE8.

If this is not what's causing the problem, please let us know what browser you are using, if it happens in windowed mode or in the "full window" mode, and what your display resolution is.

Thanks!

Bill

Hi,
For the problem, well minor irritance, I am experiencing here are the details.

I am using IE7 7.05730.13. On Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2. Dual Core AMD Opteron - 280 2.39ghz, 4gb Ram. 1280x1024.

I am visiting the blog post mentioned. I am not in Full screen mode, in fact when I switch to Full screen mode the offset is correct. IE is Maximised (not F11'd)

In the Image attached, I opened the blog page, scrolled down I then placed the Mouse cursor in the very centre of the picture on the tree. I then used the middle mouse button to zoom in. The zoom centred around a point much further to the right than my cursor was positioned at. The result as you can see in the image is that the zoom goes off screen instead of zooming in on the trunk of the tree.

I have not tried this on another machine or browser yet as I don't have one to hand.

Hi BinaryJam. Thanks for the detailed reply! I'm able to repro the problem in IE7 as well. I'll look into it and get back to you.
