What about U.S. Copyright laws and privacy?

The United States Copyright office protects the original creator of any artwork, photography etc. against unauthorized use. How is Synth going to be able to grab photos from any place online and Synth them without authorization?

And what if someone's photos of their children or private property ends up in an undesirable synth?

This seems like a wide open invitation for the world to view private places.

We made a very conscious choice in Photosynth to *not* crawl the web for photos, but instead to encourage people to share photos with the world explicitly to synth and build a community around this. We also offer a range of rights options, from copyright to Creative Commons to public domain. I'd strongly recommend Creative Commons, myself :).
