Good idea but its more a plaything.
According to this developers blog:

hmm cannot confirm it nigel, anyway to be true, I already have this device at home, I also already played with it around 2 hours, but documentation is for me so confusing, that I wasn't able to make it work. So till there will a lot more voices or appear some public source code, this idea will remain "Open"

Result Intent
The app can be also called from another app by using a Result Intent.
The Intent Action to use is: de.fun2code.android.cachebeacon.SEARCH

The resulting Intent contains some Intent Extras.
Here is the list:

Finally had the possiblity to try to find a chirp. It was not working with my Xperia Mini but the Garmin Oregon device did find it soon. that means you have to be very close to the chirp, probably less than a meter.

I'm back after some time and still not a member at the new board.
Just for You to inform on this topic:
The Ant+ Plugin Sample App has a working android beacon function, I tested yesterday with my xperia mini ST15i. It worked for mor than 7 meters distance from the beacon, which is very good. It even has some beacon programming feature in it.

Thank you for your answer!
I've used this application. Which works very well. But it is basic functionality.
For what is unfortunate is that we can not switch directly from "Ant plugin + Sampler" to this application "Locus" to continue its multi-cover ... Even with a simple copy and paste.
I had a case where I had to retrieve the coordinates listed in the Garmin tag to continue my path and unfortunately so I was compelled to write on a piece of paper the coordinates ...
That is why I asked if you could add reading Garmin tags in "Locus" ...
I even asked the developer of "Ant +" if he could make some improvements to their program. I was told that it was only a demonstration application to help others developers like you ...
