Is there a faster way to download maps?
I work overseas and use the locus pro everyday. I have been downloading the google hybrid map for a country since I need every part of the country to reference and zoom levels as close in as possible. I've been downloading for a month now and am no where close to finishing. Is there a faster way I can download the map and zoom layers I need in one session? Maybe download through your website with my laptop and move the file over to my tablet?

OMG!! You have been downloading Google Hybrid map tiles for a month?? I hope no one fron Google reads your post. It is abusive practices like this that is causing friction between map suppliers and GPS software companies like Locus, whose programs connect users with the map supplier servers. You are going to spoil a good deal for the rest of us if the map suppliers start requiring a subscription to download their map tiles.

William, Starmans reaction is correct. Please reduce downloading only to necessary areas!
For large areas, I suggest download vector maps from addon or from this site http://www.vectormaps4locus.eu/. Online maps are limited just because of people like you, so to stop them from mass downloading and overloading of servers.
So sorry, but there's no simple way to download maps faster in Locus!

I would be happy to pay a map service a subscription fee to download maps for offline use.
