I’m Worried

[Please Help Quick] Audio From the M-Track Is Only Heard From The Left Ear-Cup.

I just purchased the M-Audio M-Track and I'm running Mac OSX 10.9.2. I'm recoding with sometimes Quicktime but mostly Audacity, and my microphone it's self is a Sterling Audio ST59. I have realized that the audio recorded from the M-Track can only be heard in the left-ear cup of my bluetooth headset. (I've checked and my headset does work.)

Please Help,

  • Hello,

Thanks for posting. I'd be happy to help!

This may be due to Audacity or Quicktime recording a stereo input, but using a microphone would require recording in those programs with a mono input.

I'm not familiar with this adjustment in Quicktime, but in Audacity you can adjust the input and output settings from the main screen:

This same setting is also available in the Preferences menu, under the Devices section.

Let me know if this helps!
