  • So to be more exact,
As stated by maudio manual, when you press the auto button, it will automatically map sliders to faders
Knobs to panning and the transpose buttons respectively.
    Im working on ableton 10

However...it doesnt. In none of the 10 programs.
    Am i missing something?
I restored to factory defaults already just to make sure

    Hey Gregory,

    Thanks for posting!

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. From your description, it sounds like the DirectLink personality file is outdated for Live 10 as it was designed for Ableton 9. This would explain why the Auto button is not functioning.

The good news is that you can manually map any hardware controls to Ableton's parameters with the MIDI Map feature. This allows you to fully customize your controller and save the map as a part of your default template set for quick recall. For more information on how to configure your Oxygen, refer to this tutorial:

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

  • Thank you for your reply.

Yes i am aware of the manual assignment.
So, there is no chance for some short of an update?
Or some way to create your own directlink file, (apart from making a template)

Its weird cause since directlink is not included in other daws, and you can download it, it must mean that its possible. If so, and if the problem i am having is caused by the version update (which means that all users will experience it), why hasn't there been a similar update to the file, accessible i guess from maudios downloads/drivers page.

Thank you again for your reply.

    Hey Gregory,

I can't answer as to why the DirectLink file wasn't updated for Ableton 10. My feeling is that since most DAWs offer their own version of MIDI mapping for customized configuration, the DirectLink files were not considered necessary.

If you prefer to use the Automap feature, I suggest using an earlier version of Ableton. If that's not feasible, then MIDI mapping in Ableton will be your best bet.

Let me know if you have any questions!
