I’m frustrated

Axiom 61, pitched up randomly, 1 semitone and stays there

Helo,
Can anyone help me about this probelm. My axiom 61 has this annoying problem of pitching up 1 semitone and stays there.

It started normally, everything worked fine, and after certain period of time (30 minutes to 1 hour), all the keys pitch up 1 semitone and stays there, then i need to restart everything to be able to get to normal, but not long afterwards samething again. This is very dangerous for performing task and truly annoying in production.

Please help, what should i do?

    Hi,

    Thanks for posting!

Pressing the Octave buttons simultaneously will turn them into transpose buttons instead of octave buttons. In this mode, pressing one of them will transpose the keybed up or down by a semitone. Please make sure that you are not doing this accidentally.

Next, test the keyboard with a different software/DAW to make sure that this is not a software setting gone awry. It's possible that there is automation or a control message being sent from the keyboard that's accidentally changing the tuning.

Finally, test the keyboard with a MIDI monitor:

Using a MIDI Monitor to test your device

If this is being sent from the keyboard, it will most likely appear as pitch wheel data. Play the keys without touching the pitch bend, and keep an eye out for any pitch data that appears on it's own.

Let me know how this goes!

  • Hi Corey,

    1) I'm sure that the octave button are not even touched, the event took place even when no hands are on that area.

    2) i tested the keyboard with different software and DAWs, even different computers, it still happened.

    3) havent tried yet, but will let you know on the result

    Thank you
