Axiom Air 61

My octave buttons are not working. They are both lit and will not allow me to adjust my octaves up or down. I did a reset by holding them down while powering up but its not working. What do I do?

  • Hey Arthur,

    Thanks for posting!

Sorry you're having trouble with that! Aside from shifting the octaves of the keyboard, the Axiom's octave buttons can be pushed simultaneously to transpose its keyboard. Since you have tried resetting the keyboard already, it does not sound like you have it in transpose mode.

I would advise performing some troubleshooting first to test the connection of the Axiom. Try connecting it to your computer with a different USB cable and to different USB ports. I would also advise testing the controller with another computer and if possible, power it a power adapter rather than from your computer's bus to see if you can reproduce the same behavior.

If you try the above and are still unable to use the octave buttons properly, it sounds like it may be hardware related and will require service. Warranty and non-warranty claims cannot be handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.

    or

    • For faster support, call or email your nearest Support Office or International Distributor. Select your country to find the nearest office.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions.
