axiom air mini 32 no sound (Mac OS 10.14.4 / Logic Pro X and Ableton)

Today I purchased axiom air mini 32 and tried to get sound. I'm using macbook pro mac os 10.14.4

At first I tried to use my favorite DAW - Logic Pro X and got fail. I looked for a problem on the Internet and tried to fix it by following the tips. But all in vain.

Then I installed Ableton Live Lite of the current actual version, implemented everything clearly according to the instructions and again failed.

Pressing any key on the midi keyboard reacts only on the midi keyboard itself, but the DAW is not controlled by the midi keyboard.

Accordingly, at the moment my new midi keyboard does not perform its function.

I would be very grateful if someone will help me!

    Thanks for posting!

    Sorry to hear you are having trouble! We can verify whether your Axiom AIR Mini 32 is sending MIDI data to your computer with MIDI monitoring software. A MIDI monitor will show you all the incoming data from any MIDI controllers or MIDI interfaces that you have connected to your computer.

    For testing MIDI devices on PC:
    Download MIDI-OX

    For testing MIDI devices on Mac:
    Download snoize: MIDI Monitor

    Select the Axiom AIR Mini 32 as a MIDI input source in the monitor and send some data with its keys and controllers. If you see data appear in the input monitor window, the controller is sending MIDI data to your computer and will only need to be configured for MIDI input in the software you're using. Please refer to your software's documentation for more information regarding software setup.

    If the Axiom AIR Mini 32 is not sending MIDI data to the monitor, let's test the connection between the controller and the computer. Try connecting the controller with a different USB cable, with different USB ports on your computer, and to a different computer to see if you can reproduce the same behavior. Be sure to connect directly to the computer via USB and avoid using any USB hubs or adapters.

    If you try the steps listed above and you are still unable to send MIDI data with the controller, it may be hardware related. Warranty and non-warranty claims cannot be handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.


    • For faster support, call or email your nearest Support Office or International Distributor. Select your country to find the nearest office.
