BM800 Condenser mic not working

Hi! I bought M-Track 2x2 and installed the driver including the latest Cubase Le. My microphone is BM800 condenser mic which works perfectly fine with a usb soundcard and Audacity software. My problem is that M-Audio is not picking up any signal from my condenser mic. Please help. Thanks

  • Hey CGD3,

    Thanks for posting!

After doing a little research, I see that the BM800 might have come with an XLR to 1/8" cable.

As a condenser microphone, the BM800 will require phantom power which can be provided to the microphone via XLR. In order to use this microphone properly with your M-Track, connect it with an XLR female to XLR male cable to the XLR combo input on the back of the M-Track. Be sure to also toggle the +48V switch on the front of the M-Track to enable phantom power. Once you have it connected properly, turn the channel gain up and you will see the M-Track's meters reflect the audio input signal.

I hope that helps you! Let me know if you have any questions.
