Can I use M audio code 25 to play live with a band and control the metronome?

Hello, im interested in the m audio code 25 for a band im working with. I want to know if i can use it live with a pc, to play electronic backing tracks while playing other things i programmed before in the pads, also if i can send the metronome to the drummer so only he can hear it and follow the backing track, thanks!

  • Hey Gery,

    Thanks for posting!

This will depend on the DAW that you are using and if you have a USB interface that can assign a separate cue mixes to the headphone out. What DAW are you interfacing the Code with?

  • Thank you very much for your response. For now i'm using a diferent thing, but i'ts very old and i'm looking for an upgrade. I use a laptop pc with Acid, i set the metronome track to the left and all the backing tracks to the right, with a double jack i conect the pc to a roland sp808 and to the drummer's mixing device(in which he plugs the earphones and can control the volume himself). So what i play in the pc it goes all out from the roland but in mono. And obviously the drummer only hears the metronome in the left ear(though he likes that for some reason). On the stage, the sound technician makes it so what i send to him sounds right. Sorry if i can't explain it better, i'm not english, and i'm learning all this stuff myself. I just want to know if i would be able to do that, or something better, with the m audio and ableton, or protools: to play a backing track on the pc, with a metronome and send the metronome only to the drummer, while i play sounds with the pad and the piano.
    Thanks for your attention.
