CODE-49 Encoder Speed?

How do I change the encoder speed (acceleration curve?) on my M-Audio Code 49?
The turn it takes to go from 0 to 127 is far too slow for doing live effects for me as it is right now. I'd like to be able to turn it less to get to 127. How do I edit it?

  • Hey David,

    Thanks for posting!

You can change the behavior of the encoders with the Code 49's editor software. The editor software for Windows and Mac operating systems can be downloaded at the links below:

    M-Audio Code 49 Editor Software - Windows

    M-Audio Code 49 Editor Software - Mac

There are a few different options you can choose for each encoder which are detailed starting on page 12 of the Code editor software's user guide. You can open the user guide in the software by selecting Help > Open User Guide. Changing the behavior of the encoders with the editor and assigning the control type in your DAW should get you on the right track!

    I hope this helps you!
