I’m frustrated

Code 61 gets stuck/freezes... without USB

Dear M-AUDIO team!
One month ago, the user "SR" posted the thread "Code 49 gets stuck/freezes".
I have quite the same problem with my Code 61.
The difference is: I am not using it via USB with a PC.
I use it via MIDI cable as a secondary keyboard at on-stage performaces.

Up to several times per session, the Code 61 gets stuck with transmitting MIDI data.
When pressing the panic function, it hangs up completely.
Power supply seems to work fine. I powered it in three different ways: per usb from my main keyboard, per usb from socket and per proper power adapter.
I already exchanged the MIDI cable, and I also tried a factory reset.
The problem still persists.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to play a concert that way.
Any help would be highly appreciated... and I suppose it is not the cable this time.

    Sorry you are having trouble with that.

    It sounds like your product may need to be serviced. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction. Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service Inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code.

    or

    • For faster support, call or email your nearest Support Office or International Distributor. Select your country to find the nearest office.
