Crackling noises when using 192-6 on Mac OSX 10.13 &10.11

Hello team,

I just bought a 192-6 Audio interface for both my 2011 iMac (OSX 10.11.6) and my 2011 Macbook Pro (10.13.6) and there's crackling coming from my monitors that ive never heard in my last audio interface or in my headphones not going through the 192-6.

My monitors are 2 KRK Rokit 5's

Ive tried both FL Studio and Ableton Live 10 suite and both are having the issue regardless on what I change the driver to.

When I use head phones straight into my laptop instead of the driver I hear my music just fine and this has never been an issue with my last audio interface.

Im not sure how to fix this and I dont see anyone else with this issue for macs, please help!

    Hey Andrew,

    Thanks for posting!

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble! Does this happen while listening from the interface's headphone port as well? Crackling and popping generally signal that your system is having difficulty processing audio. In this case, I recommend increasing your audio buffer size. Lower buffer rates will decrease latency while putting a lot more stress on your CPU. Be sure to do this within your DAW as the AIR will default to your software's settings.

Additionally, you may want to check your sample rate. If the sample rate is over 48kHz try lowering it to see if it resolves the issue.

Try this and let me know how it goes!
