I’m frustrated

Delta 1010, humming and no audio output.

Hello,

i ́m using a Delta 1010 recording system. it worked very stable and well.
Since a few days i have a humming on the outputs and they don ́t play back audio. I changed nothing before the problem appeared.
Another example is when i try to play a youtube video with audio over the delta 1010 the video is break off.
The inputs are recording as they should.
I reinstalled the card and reinstalled the driver, it doesn ́t helped, same problem.
What happend, what is wrong?
Is it the card or the breakoutbox?
Is it to fix or is the recording system broken.
Please help.

    Hi Deville,

    Thanks for posting!

Do you see a signal on the output track of the control panel? Will this happen with all of the outputs?

As always, try different cables and definitely different speakers to rule them out as the problem. If you have any other gear between the Delta 1010 and the speakers, make sure to disconnect that gear to rule it out.

If you continue to have trouble, it could indicate a problem with the hardware. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction. Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit Warranty or Service inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the M-Audio Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu. This will not require a support code

    or

    • For quicker support, call your nearest Support Office or International Distributor.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions.

  • Hey Corey,

    thanks for your fast answer.

I see the humming not as a signal on the output on the control panel.
It happens on all outputs, mostly on 1, 3, 5, ánd 7.
If i send a signal through the outs i see it on the output on control channel, but hear it very very low and distorted trough the humming.

Sometimes there is a signal on all inputs on the control channel,
although there is no cable connected to the inputs.

The monitoring system is it not. The Delta 1010 outs are connected to my mackie cr 1604, all the other gear is connected in the same way and sound crystal clear.

I connected my old Delta 44 for testing it out, with same routing, same cables.
No problem with that, so it is a problem with Delta 1010.

But i need the Delta 1010 because of its Midi.

So my question here is if it could be the breakoutbox which is broken. I have a chance to get just a breakoutbox.

Or is it to risky because it could be also the card?

Maybe you can give me an advice before i try your other.
