I’m frustrated

MobilePre - El Capitan

My mobile pre won't work in El Capitan anyone able to help can't even find it listed in M Audio. I'm in Australia so if offering a phone number please be aware of that. I've been to apple no help there blaming M Audio for not updating drivers. I need this for work so please get on to it Thanks

    As you may be aware, M-Audio was once owned by Avid (Pro Tools) and was acquired by inMusic Brands in 2012. The following products were not included with this acquisition, and will continue to be marketed, sold, supported and serviced by Avid:

    That offers no support or resolution to the problem what so ever.When I try to contact avid the mobile Pre is not referenced in the contact products. I have been to the Avid Support Page there is nothing there. The only mention it gets is on the end support date stating support till 2018 but I can't even ask the question cos it's not supported on the page. So I'll ask here are avid going to or are they already offering an update for the Mobile Pre in order for it to work on and be compatible with El Capitan? If it's already available could you please put up the actual link to the down load. I would be very grateful. I need my audio interface for work it's been a very frustrating few days trying to sort this out as I've not been able to do any recording and it's costing me work and money.

    • I'm in the same situation. Still no driver update for my MobilePre audio interface. As a temporary 'solution' I connected the headphone output of my iMac to an input of the MobilePre interface...   • All drivers for the Mobil Pre are available at the Avid website:http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en... that said, the device is quite old and I don't think you'll be seeing any driver development going forward.

    The Mobile Pre mkII might get updates, but I'm not sure.

    Your company states the end of support date is 11/2018 that is false advertising mate if anyone else is in this situation I reckon it calls for a class action.

  • same here, since i updated to E.C. it quit working, i can't open up my pro tools mp9.0.5 because it can't detect hardware. going on 3 days now working on this and I'm almost out of coffee.

  • I don't work for Avid. The "End of Support" dates are for hardware support (repairs, parts etc.) not driver updates.

    I'm trying to get info from Avid that lays out what devices are still getting driver updates, and how long users should expect to get driver updates going forward.

    Since these devices are still owned by Avid, it would probably be more productive if it moved over to the DUC.
